YOU WILL NOT GUESS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME YESTERDAY! IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING!
Okay, so this pickup pulled into our driveway, and I didn't pay much attention because my mom's always having weird random people over without telling us beforehand. So I ignored it...then Peter ran inside shouting "Uncle Danny's got a new car! FOR REALS THIS TIME!" So of course we all RUSHED outside, and he's brought home a nice new-ISh Chevrolet. He stayed over a while, and after lunch Mum went "Hey Meg, you wanna go to the dealer's with us to pick up Uncle Danny's old car?"
Of course, I kind of wanted to get my hands on the steering wheel of that Chevy, but I also just wanted to spend some time with my mom (time WITHOUT little kids running under my feet XD) so all three of us piled into the truck...and I have to admit, I was a little nervous. I haven't sat in a middle front seatbelt since I got in that car accident eight years ago and nearly died...so it was a little unnerving.
But we got there, and we climbed out, and...stupid STUPID me

Uncle Danny handed me the keys, and he said "This one unlocks the door," and he stuck it in the door and turned it. "And this one starts the engine." He made sure I knew the difference between the keys, and then got back in his truck and pulled into the parking lot driveway and waited for us.
I looked at Mom over the top of the car and said, "It's okay if I drive, right?"
And she went "Yeah! It's your car."
It took me a good five minutes to process that. Of course, my first response was, "It's Uncle Danny's car!" In a very confused tone. She just kind of laughed and we climbed in...and I eventually made the connection.
That beautiful 1990 Chrysler New Yorker was FOR ME!I mean...my uncle always kind of joked about how when he got a new car I could have that one, so it didn't COMPLETELY surprise me...but what shocked me was that he actually kept his word on it. I thought, either he's NEVER gonna get a new car (this IS my Uncle Danny we're talking about...) or he IS gonna get a new car, and he's not gonna want to let go of that awesome old thing!! BUT I WAS WRONG!!!
So...yeah. I'm gonna go upload a picture now! *screams* *explodes*
